Shadow Fight 2: Top Ten Weapons Every Warrior Should Master
Shadow Fight 2 is beloved not just for its fluid martial arts-style combat, but also for its vast arsenal of weapons, each with its own feel, strength, and tactical potential. Whether you’re playing through the story mode, Underworld challenges, or PvP, choosing the right weapon can be a game-changer. Here are my top ten weapons in Shadow Fight 2—and why they stand out.
1. Composite Sword

One of the most versatile weapons in the game. The Composite Sword bears a close resemblance to Renji Abarai‘s Zabimaru in its Shikai form from Bleach. It offers excellent range, solid damage, good speed, and many useful enchantment options. Great for players who want something reliable in many situations.
2. Lynx’s Claws

Fast, ferocious, and deadly. It appears to have Poisoning when Lynx is defeated twice and at the Gates Of Shadows and Interlude. When obtained by the player, it only has Time Bomb. They specialize in close-range combos and dealing critical hits. With the right enchantment, they can be a nightmare for slower enemies.
3. Kusarigama

This chain-and-sickle weapon gives you range and flexibility. Kusarigama (鎖鎌, lit. “chain-sickle”) is a traditional Japanese weapon that consists of a kama (the Japanese equivalent of a sickle) on a type of metal chain (kusari) with a heavy iron weight at the end. The art of handling the kusarigama is called kusarigamajutsu. It’s excellent for hit-and-run tactics—keeping distance while dealing damage. It takes skill to master, but pays off well.
4. Katana (and Golden Katana)

A classic. The Katana strikes a balance between speed and power. Katana were one of the traditionally made Japanese swords that were used by the samurai of ancient and feudal Japan, used in 1400 to 1876. It is characterized by its distinctive appearance: a curved, single-edged blade with a circular or squared guard and long grip to accommodate two hands. Its curved blade and fast slashes make it ideal for mid‐range duels and mobility-heavy fights. The Golden version boosts damage and appearance.
5. Nunchaku

If you like fast, relentless attacks, these are for you. Nunchaku is a traditional Okinawan martial arts weapon, most widely used in martial arts such as Okinawan kobudō and karate. give you speed, agility, and the ability to overwhelm opponents quickly—especially effective in raids or when a boss is slow.
6. Staff of Night

For those who prefer reach and crowd control, the Staff of Night excels. It is a dark-purplish staff with a red orb on the top. The Staff of Night is unlocked at level 27,Wide, sweeping attacks can hit multiple enemies; spinning attacks can disrupt opponents. It’s slower, so timing matters.
7. Big Swords / Two-Handed Swords

If raw power and crushing impact is your thing, Big Swords deliver. These swords resemble the Buster Sword from Final Fantasy VII. They hit hard and can often finish fights quickly when you land good blows. Their drawback is slower swings, so it’s best to anticipate enemies.
8. Harrier Hooks

These give you good damage, useful mid‐range reach, and strong enchantment potential. They can be especially effective in story mode or against bosses where spacing and timing matter. They are unlocked at level 10, along with Krises. Harrier Hooks have high damage, slow swing speed and medium range. They are used by Hoaxen and Adanti.
9. Crescent Knives

For players who like speed, evasiveness, and frequent attacks, Crescent Knives are a great pick. Less raw damage per blow, but their quick strikes and agility let you dodge and whittle down foes.
10. Butcher’s Knives / Heavy Weapons

Heavy weapons are risky, but when they land, they land big. Butcher’s Knives are a good example: slow swings, but extremely high damage and fantastic when used correctly (especially in boss fights or raid scenarios). If you can manage their timing, you can turn fights around.
Choosing the Right Weapon For You
Here are some tips to pick among these or other weapons, depending on your playstyle:
| Playstyle | Best Types of Weapons |
|---|---|
| Aggressive / combo spammer | Fast weapons: Nunchuku, Katars, Crescent Knives |
| Control / range | Composite Sword, Staff of Night, Kusarigama |
| Raw damage / boss fights | Big Swords, Butcher’s Knives, Heavy Weapons |
| Balanced style | Katana, Golden Katana, Harrier Hooks |
Also remember:
- Enchantments matter a lot. A good enchant (Bleeding, Time Bomb, etc.) can shift a weapon from “good” to “great.” (shadowfight2.fandom.com)
- Upgrade your weapon regularly; the damage difference between low-level and maxed versions is significant.
- Practice with a weapon to learn its timing, reach, strengths and weaknesses.
Final Thoughts
Shadow Fight 2 offers so many weapons that there’s no one “best” for everybody—but mastering a few from the list above gives you flexibility. Whether you like speed, power, or style, there’s something that fits.
If I were you, I’d start with Composite Sword or Katana while learning, then branch into Knuckles/Katars or Big Swords once you get the hang of timing and reach.
